We often get asked similar questions so have added the most common questions below which may help when making a decision as to what product is best suited to you.

Q1: what are your structures made from?

A1: our Verandas, Pergolas and Awnings are made from profiled aluminium which is then powder coated in a range of colours.

Q2: what is your roof made from?

A2: in most cases the roof of a veranda will consist of 8.8mm or 10.8mm laminated glass. Sometimes we use 6mm or 10mm toughened glass (subject to what product is selected). Our pergolas have an aluminium slatted roof. Our awnings are made from durable high-grade fabric.

Q3: Can I add sides to my veranda/pergola?

A3: Absolutely!! You can have fixed glass, sliding glass doors, aluminium louvres, aluminium sliding doors, electric or manual blinds, and even electric vertical sliding windows.

Q4: can I build my structure in stages?

A4: yes. In fact, we recommend you do this if in doubt. We have many customers who have built their verandas and pergolas in stages…some even prefer to build in regular smaller intervals and this is fine by us.

Q5: Can you do bespoke sizes?

A5: yes. 95% of our projects are bespoke sizing and styling. We have one of the biggest networks in this industry and access to a vast choice of structures to suit all styles and budgets.

Q6: can I use a Glass Room all year round?

A6: depending on what system you choose, you can use our structures all year round. Our single glazed structures are not extensions of the house, rather they are extensions of the garden, therefore they will be up to 98% waterproof and carry some insulation (not as much as conservatory’s). Our double glazed glass rooms have insulated framework and glass so can be used just like a conservatory….but minus the excess framework that blocks views

Q7: do you install the products?

A7: we do. We offer the complete project from initial design through to installation. You can also have a ‘supply only’ deal from us and install the system yourself.

Q8: do I need planning permission?

A8: in most cases planning is not required however we would suggest you speak to your local planning office if in doubt. We in particular suggest you seek planning if you have a listed building, live in a conservation area, area of natural beauty or plan a structure that may block neighbours light.

Q9: do I need a base?

A9: if you are just having an open veranda, open pergola or awning, then you don’t necessarily need a base. If you want to create an enclosed system, a base is worthwhile. A base doesn’t have to be a new patio or insulated floor. Simple garden slabs, concrete, tarmac, decking is fine. We do bases and are happy to discuss your requirements with you.

Q10: how long does the process take?

A10: From the moment you place your order we plan to have your project complete within 3-6 weeks (subject to time of year). Installing an open structure is usually done within a day. When we install an enclosed structure this can take 2-4 days.

Q11: do you offer finance?

A11: Yes we do. We offer 12 & 24 months interest free finance. We also offer 36 - 120 months interest bearing finance for those customers that prefer a lower monthly payment. Please note that all finance is subject to acceptance.
